Committee Successfully Held New Building Materials Technology Exchange Meeting 

and Laminated Glass Interlayer Film Production Line Observation Activity

     On the morning of October 14, 2025, the "New Building Materials Technology Exchange Meeting" jointly organized by the Fire Protection Technology Working Committee of Shenzhen Survey and Design Industry Association, Dongguan Qun'an Plastics Industry Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. was held at Dongguan Qun'an Plastics Industry Co., Ltd.

       More than ten experts and representatives from various design institutes participated in the event. Huang Xiaodong, Director of the Fire Protection Technology Working Committee of the Shenzhen Survey and Design Industry Association, Luo Weilang, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General, Ding Rong, Executive Deputy Director, and Zhang Jianjun and Feng Chun, Deputy Directors, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Zhang Ziqian, Project Director of Dongguan Qun'an Plastics Industry Co., Ltd., with Chairman Feng Jianqun delivering a welcome speech, followed by a speech from Huang Xiaodong, Director of the Fire Protection Technology Working Committee of the Shenzhen Survey and Design Industry Association. Mr. Zhang Ziqian gave a detailed introduction to Qun'an Group and its products, and shared his insights on "Application of New Building Materials Technology".

        Founded in 2015, Dongguan Qun'an Plastics Industry Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production, processing, and import/export trade, specializing in the research and development of architectural-grade SGP® ionic interlayer film. SGP® film is a technologically advanced interlayer film for laminated glass, a specially developed ionic film, also known as an ionic interlayer film, a polymer material bonded by ionic bonds. This ionic property greatly enhances the adhesion between SGP® film and glass, significantly improving its shear modulus and tear strength compared to PVB film; its tear strength is 5 times that of traditional PVB, and its hardness is 100 times that of traditional PVB.

        As the interlayer in laminated glass, its unique material and structural design improves the safety performance of laminated glass. It not only withstands penetration from accidental impacts but also effectively prevents fragments from scattering when broken, thus providing additional safety protection. Excellent weather resistance and chemical corrosion resistance allow it to remain stable for extended periods under harsh environmental conditions. Through continuous research and innovation, SGP® film has become a significant technological advancement in the field of safety glass, contributing to improved safety in people's lives and becoming one of the safest glass varieties currently available. The film is widely used in architectural glass, curtain walls, photovoltaics, transportation, and automotive industries, not only enhancing the safety performance of laminated glass but also providing safer and more reliable glass solutions for the construction and automotive sectors.

     Following the thematic sharing, a lively exchange ensued, with in-depth discussions on hot and challenging issues related to SGP® film in fire protection design and safety. Afterwards, the experts visited the Qun'an Group's showroom for a more direct understanding of building materials. Finally, they toured the factory laboratory and production line, conducting on-site experiments and tests on the safety performance of SGP® film.

      This exchange meeting was a complete success. We will continue to hold similar events. The Fire Protection Technology Working Committee of the Association has always been committed to "strengthening technical exchanges and cooperation in building fire protection design in Shenzhen, continuously promoting the advancement of fire protection design and review technology, and constantly improving the fire safety level of building projects." We actively respond to the requirements of high-quality development of the province and city, play the role of a bridge and carrier, strengthen the linkage and cooperation between the association and enterprises, form a joint force, provide technical services, create fire protection design experience for the Shenzhen demonstration zone, and contribute to the construction of Shenzhen's new city.
