The China Glass Expo is one of the largest glass-fairs of Asia and is one of the most important international trade fairs for glass production and processing. It was founded in 1986 and is aimed both at professionals as well as to public audiences. Although it only has a local scope - this is recognized by the fact that the majority of exhibitors are Chinese companies - these Chinese trade fair is being used by an increasing number of international companies as a platform. The China Glass Expo is held once a year in spring alternately at the sites of Beijing and Shanghai. Main organizer of the China Glass Expo is the Chinese Ceramic Society, founded in 1945 (CCS), which has its registered office in the Chinese capital. The China Glass Expo is the only glass exhibition, which is sponsored by the Government of the People's Republic of China and of Chinese trade organizations. Europe, Asia and the United States present in separate exhibition stands for each country the newest technologies, machinery and glass products in the fields of architectural and industrial glass. Also, glass products for photovoltaic systems will be exhibited. The companies, which are represented at the Expo China Glass, are large enterprises, small and medium-sized companies. The number of start-ups attending the China Glass Expo has increased in recent years greatly.

On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 4 days of the fair, from 24. May to 27. May 2017, about 1001 exhibitors from 33 countries and 32858 visitors from 71 countries on the China Glass in Beijing.

The China Glass will take place on 4 days from Tuesday, 14. April to Friday, 17. April 2020 in Shanghai.
